Colposcopy

Colposcopy is a non-invasive method that allows the doctor to examine the cervix. It is the process of evaluating the cervix more clearly by viewing the cervix more clearly with a lighted instrument called colposcope, which has 6-40 times magnification.

The colposcope used in the colposcopy method, which is a clinical procedure, is a lighted magnifying glass and resembles binoculars. Enlarging the gynecological examination with the naked eye with the colposcopy method allows the evaluation of the vagina, especially cervical cancer.

If a suspicious area is seen during the colposcopy procedure, colposcopic biopsy is performed to allow the examination of the suspicious area.
